ProtoVer LDAP testsuite Introduction:The purpose of ProtoVer LDAP testsuite is to provide an effective and cost affordable solution for evaluation of security and stability of LDAP v3 server protocol implementations. ProtoVer LDAP testsuite is written in Python and provided with full source code. The source code allows you to write your own tests using ProtoVer's testing engine or change the existing tests to satisfy your needs. ProtoVer LDAP testsuite finds bugs in most of existing LDAP implementations: OpenLDAP, CommuniGate Pro Server (GLEG0601, GLEG0602), Fedora Directory Server, Lotus Domino Server (more), MailSite (WorldMail), Novell eDirectory, Sun Directory Server (more), IBM Tivoli Directory Server (more), Isode M-Vault (more) and many others. The testsuite has support for three simple and easy-to-use user interfaces: command-line (CLI), GUI interface and Remote Server Interface (RSI). The version 1.8 of ProtoVer LDAP testsuite is very thorough and can generate over 170000 individual test cases with the help of 18 test modules (each module represents a separate 'group' of tests).
